The day started like any other summer day in our house. I grabbed my cup of tea and headed outside to tend to the critters. We had places to be, work needed to be done quick so we could head out. The two girls and I had a four hour drive ahead of us and I wanted to get there early to get in line.
Loaded up the car and the playlist. There was a mood to set for today. Mama had secured pit tickets, and early entry with The Knockin’ boots VIP package so you know the excitement filled inside me. You see, Lexi and I had gone to the Luke concert in Connecticut back in July. This is where I learned he brings out a huge margarita and one lucky chick gets it from him. So I hatched a plan and had the props ready.
GILFORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE
Our trip took us three hours and fifty minutes and brought us over mountains and winding roads. It would definitely be an interesting drive back in the dark. Surprisingly the venue parking was actually well organized. Entry was pretty quick but then again we did get there early.
Can someone tell me why finding out where you are actually suppose to be is so damn confusing? 20 different answers to the same question “where do we sign in for VIP”. Nightmare. So we get there early, and stand in 2 different lines before we end up where we are suppose to be.
We waited in the VIP line which was really to get into the VIP before show 2 song acoustic with Luke but we were skipping that so we could get up front in the pit. We had a plan and I needed to be front and center for any of it to work.
Our plan didn’t go exactly as planned since we weren’t against the metal barrier. Believe it or not I think being back behind those ladies worked out to my advantage. I’m not even 5 foot tall, no way I was seeing much with the speaker box and lighting equipment. Plus I could be SEEN better if I kept a little space between us and that is what was important for this night.
I knew we were in the perfect spot after Dylan Scott pretended to throw his microphone at me because I was looking at him through the phone. That man made me jump and move my phone quick, lol. Side note, I got Dylans shot cup which could kind of be considered gross I guess but it will go in my concert keepsake collection.
NEXT UP LUKE BRYAN
After a four hour drive, an hour in line to check in and another three and a half hours in the pit not leaving our spots it was show time. Up next the man we’ve all been waiting to see.
This man does not disappoint. If you ever have the chance to go see Luke Bryan in concert jump at it. Even if you don’t like country music, you will not be disappointed.
Luke is pretty interactive with his audiences. He sings a bit then talks to people that he can see within a couple rows in front of him. Tonight’s performance well it was a bit unexpected to say the least.
JUST ME AND LUKE
In those few minutes with a sold out crowd screaming around us I felt like it was just he and I. The pictures don’t do the magic justice, but it’s the best we could come up with from the video. Luke is the best sport! I did not think in a million years that he would have put those suckers on. But seeing is believing. Only makes me and a gazillion other women love him even more. He’s so fun and entertaining.
Luke had such a good time with being a big goof that he couldn’t sing his next song without laughing. Now that ladies is a successful night. The video I took of this is probably my favorite video of the night. @lovetravelandadventures on TikTok has the video posted.
So I’m not sure if anyone has been to any of Luke’s shows this year but when he sings his hit One Margarita he brings out a giant margarita and gives it to one lucky person in the audience. As I said, we had the pleasure of seeing him in Connecticut in July so I knew he did this hence the sign and candy panties.
Luke brought the margarita just like he said he would and added a little dance to go with it. I can truly say it was an epic night that I am sure to never forget. A night I’ll be telling my grandkids about (my girls were hootin’, hollerin’ and recording for their mama). Now the only problem I have is trying to figure out how to top it.

OMG Robin, you sooooo have to get to one of his concerts! He puts on one heck of a show! My pictures and story doesn’t do it justice. When I say epic I truly mean epic! We really did have a great time! Luke is just that down to earth country boy that you can’t help but to love. He always makes his shows fun and this one did not disappoint.
