I decided to make our very first travel post on this website be about our impromptu trip to Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Let me start off by saying that this is not our first visit to the Disney parks. In fact we’ve probably been more than a handful of times. This however was the most stressful visit due to the crazy wait times at the park. (Try to plan your trip when it’s not during school breaks as this makes for 2-3 hour wait times 😬)

Magic Kingdom Gates to Parking

To beat the long parking lines and parking fee you can always stay on site at one of the magnificent Walt Disney World Resorts. Booking.com has great deals and is a great company to work with. We stayed outside of the park (hence the parking line) because Disney wasn’t our only destination during this trip.

This was our nephew Jesse’s very first time coming to Disney. Doesn’t seem to matter how many times you’ve walked into the Magic Kingdom though, the feeling you get looking at the Castle is always giddy.

Our daughters trying to make the most of their next wait

Long wait times are not the most ideal, however the quality time goofing off while waiting with your family is always welcomed.

Yummy Mickey Pretzel

Don’t forget to stop and grab a snack on the way to your next ride. Our girl loved their Mickey pretzel. Be sure to download the park app you can order ahead of time to cut the line wait time.

Magic Kingdom Castle and fireworks Display

The firework display at the Magic Kingdom is always amazing, just be sure to get there early for a great viewing spot as it tends to get super crowded and you may not get a spot.

My advice to future Disney park travelers, plan ahead and don’t try to make an impromptu stop during peak school break times. Disney offers fast passes which can be booked up to 60 days in advance and trust me they are indeed booked. Our impromptu visit left us with super long wait times and not being able to go on all the rides we would have liked. However, in true Disney fashion of making your trip as enjoyable as possibly they offered us an extra day pass. Thank you Disney, you truly are there for your guests. Until next time my friends, travel and fall in love, your adventure awaits ❤️
